Temple Beth El is Your Home for Jewish Life in Pensacola

Temple Beth-El was founded in 1876 as a Reform congregation for Central European and German immigrants, businessmen and tavern owners; several of the original families still have descendants in the congregation today. Over the years, the Beth El family has grown to include a mix of all ages and a significant number of Jews-by-choice.

The Brotherhood is an auxiliary organization of Temple Beth El whose primary purpose is to provide social, educational, cultural and spiritual services for the men, as well as for the broader community. They provide opportunities for men in the congregation to gather together for fellowship, recreation, personal growth and mutual support, as well as support the mission, services and activities of the Congregation.

Jews Who Cook

In the September 2022 issue of “The Bulletin”, Temple Beth El’s monthly newsletter, Brotherhood President Terry Gross reported the recent “JEWS WHO COOK” fundraiser netted $7000; proceeds will be divided evenly between the Sisterhood and the Brotherhood. “Not bad for our first event“:, said Brotherhood President Terry Gross. “I thought it was a huge success for many reasons. Netting $7000 is great, but the team effort and camaraderie was fantastic. I believe it was a great social event for all the chef’s and participants“.

Terry Gross invites you to join the Brotherhood, make connections and form friendships that will last a lifetime.
