Ormond Beach is a city in Volusia County, located directly north of Daytona Beach on Florida’s central Atlantic coast. Ormond Beach offers a treasure trove of beaches, parks, shops, and recreational activities. It is the home of Tomoka State Park which includes a former Native American settlement and provides a glimpse of the local ecosystem. Ormond Beach is also the home of the Temple Beth-El Brotherhood.
Temple Beth-El of Ormond Beach (TBEOB) is a diverse and multi-generational congregation that worships G-d in the tradition of Reform Judaism; they welcome any person or family wishing to associate themselves with the Jewish community, cultivate a love our our Jewish cultural heritage and actively support the State of Israel.
Two of the most important tenets of Reform Judaism are “Tikkun Olam” (repairing the world) and “Ahavat Ger” (welcoming the stranger). Beth-El’s programs and activities reach deep into the community, embracing all ages, faiths, races and ethnic backgrounds. Many of Beth-El’s our most active members are non-Jewish spouses and its congregational family is enriched by welcoming people of all backgrounds; they respect that not everyone is ready to close the door on the religion of their choice or upbringing and no one will ever be pressured to convert. The TBEOB congregational family is connected to each other, sharing in life cycle events, celebrating Shabbat and the Jewish holidays together. TBEOE also offers varied and interesting education opportunities for both young and old, including Torah study, Adult Education and and active Religious School.
Temple Beth-El Brotherhood brings together men of the congregation in social, philanthropic and intellectual pursuits. The Brotherhood contributes to the vibrancy of temple life, welcoming and encouraging new ideas and striving to meet the changing needs, wishes and desires of their members; both men and women are welcome to enjoy the Brotherhood’s educational, entertaining and stimulating monthly breakfast programs. TBEOB Brotherhood President Ron Robert invites you to join enhance your temple experience and reap the rewards of Brotherhood; please link to the Brotherhood’s monthly article in “The Bulletin“, Temple Beth-El’s monthly newsletter.
