The Rabbi Joel S. Geffen Leadership Development Institute (LDI) will take place February 3 to 5, 2023 at the Pearlstone Retreat Center.

Do you want to learn to be a better leader in your Men’s Club or Brotherhood; to be a better listener, a better person? If you answered yes to any of these questions then you should save the date to attend the Rabbi Joel S. Geffen Leadership Development Institute (LDI), February 3 to 5, 2023 at the Pearlstone Retreat Center.

Dr. Burton Fischman, z’l continues to inspire us

Dr. Burton Fischman, z’l (aka Captain Ruach) and Norm Kurtz created the FJMC Foundation for Jewish Life Rabbi Joel S. Geffen Leadership Development Institute (LDI) to bring together FJMC regional leaders and a handful of emerging leaders of affiliated Men’s Clubs and Brotherhoods for a long weekend of fun, educational and leadership development sessions to strengthen the skills of the participants, share great ideas and to build friendships.

Learn from the Experts

In many ways LDI is a condensed version of FJMC Convention; three days of learning, praying, eating, training and team-building activities with FJMC and Club leaders from across the United States and Canada.  LDI participants are divided into three different learning tracks; Regional leaders, emerging leaders and Executive Committee.

Bonfire and Brotherhood

LDI offers an opportunity to develop and improve your leadership, public speaking and active listening skills, learn innovative ideas about programming and ritual that you can bring back to your Region, Men’s Club, Brotherhood and Synagogues, build lifelong friendships and become part of a family of Jewish men.

LDI offers an opportunity to understand the leadership impact that the FJMC, Men’s Club and Brotherhood has on both our local and worldwide Jewish community. At LDI, you learn to create and innovate when faced with the challenges shared by other clubs and regions, have a great time and help to shape the future of your Men’s Club, Brotherhood, Synagogue and the greater Jewish community.

Florida Delegation to the 5722 LDI: Allan Gottesman (L) , Jon Zimmer, Ed Kochman, Rich Nebb and Eric Perlman (R)

Mark Givarz ([email protected]), 5722 LDI Chairperson and upcoming FJMC Convention 2023 Co-Chair, describes LDI as an opportunity for your Men’s Club and Brotherhood’s current and future leadership to interact with their peers and meet the FJMC Executive Committee in a fun and informal way.

Each of the 14 FJMC regions are generally represented by four delegates. Attendance at LDI is limited and by invitation only. Florida Region FJMC is currently accepting nominations for LDI 2023. To be considered, please send an email to Regional President Blake Lenett at [email protected] and tell him why you should represent your Men’s Club or Brotherhood at the next Leadership Development Institute.

This message is brought to you by the Florida Region of the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs. We serve the needs of Jewish Men’s Clubs and Brotherhoods throughout the State of Florida.  If you are not yet affiliated with the Federation, then today is the day to join us.
