Beth Am is all about the people

The sunshine state is blessed to have dozens of diverse Jewish Men’s Clubs and Brotherhoods and the Congregation Beth Am Men’s Club of Longwood, Florida is no exception. Located in the heart of Seminole County, Beth Am is located a short drive north from Orlando along Interstate-4.

Congregation Beth Am has been a congregation of thinkers and doers since 1975, focusing on Tikkun Olam; healing the world for us and the generations to come. Beth Am literally means ‘The People’s House’ and that’s what we are“, said Tom Mayer, President of Beth Am Congregation.   “We are a congregation about the people and we hope after visiting with us, joining in some of our activities, and sharing a nosh, you’ll agree You Belong Here.”

Mark Lichtenstein and Greg Alman currently serve as Co-Presidents of the Beth Am Men’s Club. Behind the scenes or in the forefront and wherever they are needed, the Beth Am Men’s Club makes many things possible.  Far more than a social service organization, Men’s Club engages in fundraising, manages programming, sets up events and embodies the sentiment of Tikkun Olam.

Men’s Club makes the world a better place and they are a big part of what makes Congregation Beth Am so special. The guiding principles of the Beth Am Men’s Club are Avodah (service and prayer), Kehillah (community participation) and Tzedakah (charity) because we recognize our responsibility to the community, our congregation and as role models for the next generation.
