The 2022 FJMC Shabbaton and Retreat starts Now

The time is NOW for the FJMC Shabbaton and Retreat, March 31 – April 3, 2022. The lights are on, sound check 1, 2… and the festivities are about to start.

Within the next 24 hours, over 100 members of Jewish Men’s Clubs and Brotherhoods from across the USA, Canada and Latin America will gather in beautiful Los Angeles, California for a FJMC’s first official in-person LIVE event since January 2020 to enjoy Fun and Frivolity, Brotherhood and Camaraderie, Bear Hugs and Selfie Mugs, Whiskey and Scotch Tastings, Spectacular Sunsets and Casino Nights, Tours and Treats, Late-Night Poker and sunrise on Santa Monica Beach and so much more!

TENTATIVE SHABBATON PROGRAM

Thursday Noon-5pm – Welcome To & Schmooze @ AJU 3:30pm – Official Check-in/Registration…receive room assignment & welcome bag 5pm-5:30pm – Minchah 6pm – Leave for Dinner out in LA / A La Carte – chose where/what you want to eat, a Recreational Walk-off dinner around town, go to different locales 9:30pm -10pm – Hospitality Friday (Shabbos starts 6:56pm LA)
8am-9am – Shacharit 9am-9:45am – Breakfast 9:45am – Maccabia Breakout!. . .divide into 6 teams for epic fun 10am-11:45am – Maccabia Event – CEXC (Campus EXploration Competition) 11:45am-12:15pm – Lunch 12:15pm-1:30pm – Rabbi Artson talk 1:30pm -3:30pm – EC Members -› EC Meeting All Others -> Free Time 3:30pm-3:55pm – Minchah 4pm-5:30pm – Rabbi Wolpe talk 6pm-6:55pm – Ma’ariv/Kabbalat Shabbat 6pm-6:55pm – Ma’ariv/Kabbalat Shabbat 7pm-8:10pm – Dinner 8:10pm – Burt Fischman Yahrzeit Presentation & Birkat Hamazon 8:30pm-9:30pm – Scholar-in-Residence (Reb Josh) Discussion/Tisch 9:45pm-12am – Hospitality Saturday (Shabbos ends 7:53pm per Chabad.org in LA) 8:30am-9:30am – Breakfast 9:30am-12pm – Shacharit 12pm-1pm – Lunch 1:30pm-3:30pm/4pm – More Maccabia 3:30pm/4pm-5:45pm – Free time for using the AJU facilities, Recreational walks/hikes, gym and schluff 5:45pm-6:25pm – Minchah 6:30pm-7:45pm – Seudah Shlishi Maccabia winners – lead Birkot 7:53pm – Ma’ariv/Havdalah 8:45pm – Magical Mentalist – 10pm-12am – Hospitality..
