Temple Beth David Men's Club activities aim to bring members together to enjoy each other's company, participate in fun, interesting and charitable activities, and most importantly, build connections with each other to strengthen our Temple Beth David community.

The story of Temple Beth David began in 1975 when it’s founding members, practically pioneers in Northern Palm Beach County, began meeting in local church before the 1983 dedication of the Synagogue’s new home in Palm Beach Gardens. Since that time, Temple Beth David has grown to over 200 families, serving the social and religious needs of Conservative Judaism in Northern Palm Beach County. Temple Beth David offers outstanding spiritual, educational and social programming, along with an amazing preschool.

The new and improved Temple Beth David Men’s Club’s 5784 inaugural event was a kick-off BBQ on the Temple Beth David patio. Beth David Men’s Club President Mark Paul reports; “The event was a huge success. About 30 members and guests enjoyed delicious barbecued hamburgers, hot dogs, and veggie burgers, all cooked to perfection by Craig Kessler. The sides and drinks were plentiful, and the apple pie for dessert was delicious. We caught up with old friends, made new ones, and engaged in lively conversation. During dinner, member and author Bruce Bronstein shared one of his many interesting stories from when he was with the IRS handling tax appeals.

In December, the Beth David Men’s Club hosted “Latkes and Libations” featuring delicious crispy potato pancakes, traditional toppings of sour cream and apple sauce, a choice of libations, refreshing drinks and an engaging guest speaker. “The event started with lighting the Chanukah candles, followed by the latke buffet. The atmosphere was festive and friendly, as the men mingled, chatted and made connections. The highlight of the evening was the presentation by Brian Seymour, Temple Beth David member and Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County’s Israel and Overseas Chair. Brian spoke about his recent solidarity trip to Israel and engaged in a lively discussion with the group.

During February, the Temple Beth David’s Men’s Club held a casual Super Bowl get-together hosted by its president, Mark Paul, at his community club house. Mark Paul reports, “There was plenty of delicious catered kosher food to go around, beginning with tasty snacks and hors d’oeuvres and then followed by deli sandwiches during half-time. The game was watched on a large screen TV situated in a comfortable “living room” atmosphere. As everyone knows by now, the game was a nail-biter which contributed to this being a very lively evening. A Super Bowl pool added to the excitement. This was a wonderful way to celebrate the biggest sporting event of the year, as well as to foster friendship, camaraderie, and community among the Men’s Club members.”

The Temple Beth David Men’s Club will host a Baseball Night at Roger Dean Stadium on Thursday, July 25th at 6:30pm to see the Daytona Tortugas take on the Jupiter Hammerheads at 6:30pm. Everyone is invited to join the Temple Beth David family of families for a fun evening at the ball park, with seats in a RESERVED AIR CONDITIONED SUITE!
