- Support the Foundation for Jewish Life and help California Wildfire Victims
Dear Friends:
We hope this message finds you well and in good spirits. Today, we are reaching out with an urgent call to action—a chance for us, as an FJMC family, to live out our values and make a powerful difference for those in need.
As you may know, devastating wildfires have ravaged Los Angeles, leaving countless families displaced, homes destroyed, and lives turned upside down. In response to this crisis, the FJMC Foundation of Jewish Life (FJL) has stepped up in a profound way by donating $10,000 to provide relief to wildfire victims. Now it’s time for us to join them and amplify this impact.
Here’s the Challenge: We are calling on every regional FJMC network and local club to strive to raise $500 and for individual members to generously make a donation; and send it to the FJL to directly support relief efforts for those affected by this disaster. Together, we can multiply the power of FJL’s initial contribution and demonstrate the strength of our collective commitment to Tikkun Olam—repairing the world.
Why Now? The need is immediate, and our action must be swift. Families are struggling to find shelter, food, and basic necessities. Every dollar raised will go directly to those who need it most.
How to Participate:
- Organize a Fundraiser: Host a quick fundraiser—whether it’s a bake sale, raffle, sports event, or online giving campaign.
- Donate Directly: Regional networks, clubs, and individual members can collect donations and pool resources to meet the goal.
- Spread the Word: Encourage your communities to share this initiative with their networks. The more people involved, the greater the impact.
FJMC/FJL has already started distributing funds to those in need.
Let’s Do This Together: As men of action and purpose, this is our moment to show what the FJMC stands for. Let’s prove that we are more than a network of clubs—we are a force for good, united by our commitment to help others. Imagine the impact if all of our regions, clubs, and individual members rise to this challenge. Together, we could raise tens of thousands of dollars to provide comfort and relief to those who need it most. Let’s seize this opportunity to lead with generosity, compassion, and urgency.
