Join the Temple Torat Emet Men's Club and become one of the guys
Florida Region FJMC President Ed Kochman and Spiritual Advisor Rabbi Michael Klein are members of the Temple Torat Emet Men’s Club

The Temple Torat Emet Men’s Club of Boynton Beach regularly comes together to involve Jewish Men in Jewish life and help address family and community concerns in a spirit of camaraderie and fun. The Men’s Club sponsors blood drives, visits the sick, tutors children, builds sukkot and engages in serious discussions about being a man in an increasingly egalitarian world. They cultivate volunteers and train leaders, find jobs for those in need, sponsor parent-child activities and athletic events, help families learn to make Shabbat, read Hebrew, commemorate Yom HaShoah and put on tefillin, as well as raise needed funds for their synagogue, the community and the global Conservative/Masorti Movement.

Each year the Temple Torat Emet Men’s Club offers its members a array of fun activities. Looking head to Hanukkah 5785 and beyond, Club Co-Presidents Ira Brandell and Harry Saltzman invite you to join your Men’s Club brothers to be the spark and help light the Temple Torat Emet Menorah on the 6th night of Chanukah, Monday December 30.

Looking ahead to 2025, the Torat Emet Men’s Club is planning a full schedule of programs and events, beginning on Sunday January 12 with a delicious breakfast and informative presentation from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Department Volunteers Against Scam Team (VAST). VAST was created to help fight the growing risk of identity theft and scams by educating and informing residents on how best to avoid scammers and not let them prey on their emotions and bank accounts. Since its inception in 2009, the Volunteers Against Scams Team has helped teach vulnerable seniors how to avoid the latest scams making the rounds.

The FJMC Sefer Haftarah World Tour is scheduled to visit Temple Torat Emet during the first week of February 2025. This is your opportunity to get up close and personal with the FJMC Sefer Haftarah scroll. For more information contact the Florida Region FJMC Sefer Haftarah Program Chair Richard Nebb at RichNebb@gmail.com.

On Superbowl Sunday morning February 9, 2025 the Temple Torat Emet Men’ Club will participate in the FJMC World Wide Wrap, an international, coordinated minyan encouraging Jewish men and women to learn about and participate in one of the basic mitzvot, or commandments, in the Torah: the wrapping of tefillin. The Babylonian Talmud (tractate Eruvin 96a-b) tells us that Michal, the daughter of King Saul and first wife of King David, wore tefillin without objection from the sages of her day. Be like Michal; strap on your Tefillin and join the World Wide Wrap.
