February greetings from your friends at the Florida Region of the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs (FJMC). Winter continues to keep in Florida in it’s frigid grip however the Men’s Clubs and Brotherhoods of Florida Region FJMC are planning to bring the heat with a series of engaging programs and events throughout the State of Florida.

The Temple Israel Orlando Men’s Club invites you reconnect with nature, G-d and your Men’s Club brothers from other mothers for a family friendly Shabbaton weekend at Lake Louisa Park, January 31 to February 2, 2025. The Southwest Orlando Jewish Congregation (SOJC) Men’s Club invites you family fun day of professional Hockey on Sunday February 2, 2025 with the Orlando Solar Bears at the Kia Center, 400 West Church Street in sunny in Orlando, Florida. The puck drops at 3pm when the Solar Bears take on the Florida Everblades for an afternoon of non-stop Hockey excitement and the Florida Region of the Federation of Jewish Men’s Club’s wants you to join us in Brotherhood for an event of epic proportion. All Florida Region FJMC Men’s Clubs and Brotherhoods are invited to join the SOJC Men’s Club for an epic afternoon of Adrenalin filled Hockey awesomeness. The Florida Region of FJMC invites all Men’s Club’s, Brotherhoods and Sisterhoods, Synagogues and JCC’s in the Sunshine State to register and be counted as part of the FJMC World Wide Wrap 2025 on Superbowl Sunday morning February 9, 2025 and join tens of thousands of Jewish men, women and youth across Florida, the United States and around the world as they gather in Brotherhood to participate in a morning minyan and learn about the wonder and joy of Tefillin. The World Wide Wrap is an international, coordinated minyan encouraging Jewish men and women to learn about and participate in one of the basic mitzvot, or commandments, in the Torah: the wrapping of tefillin. The Babylonian Talmud (tractate Eruvin 96a-b) tells us that Michal, the daughter of King Saul and first wife of King David, wore tefillin without objection from the sages of her day. On February 15, 2025 the Temple Beth Am Men’s Club (Margate) will host a Game Show Night. On Saturday evening February 22, 2025 at 7:30pm, the Temple Beth Am Men’s Club invites you to a themed Baseball Movie Night featuring a private screening of the film, “Field of Dreams”; the story of Iowa farmer Ray Kinsella inspired by a voice he can’t ignore to pursue a dream he can hardly believe. Supported by his wife, Ray begins the quest by turning his ordinary cornfield into a place where dreams can come true. The film stars Kevin Costner, Ray Liotta, and James Earl Jones and was directed by Phil Alden Robinson. Popcorn and drinks are included in the price of admission.
