
March greetings from your friends at the Florida Region of the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs (FJMC). Spring is in the air and the Men’s Clubs and Brotherhoods of Florida Region FJMC are planning many engaging programs and events throughout the State.

REGISTRATION IS OPEN for the next Florida Region FJMC Men’s Club & Brotherhood meeting and training event on Sunday morning March 9, 2025 at Temple Beth Am – 7205 Royal Palm Blvd, Margate, FL 33063. ALL Florida Region FJMC Men’s Clubs and Brotherhoods are encouraged to register for this FREE event. The morning will begin with 8:30am minyan, followed by breakfast, Club meeting and training to follow. We have a lot of information to cover including updated Quality Club Award requirements, strategic planning for 2025, FJMC International Convention, July 3 to 6, 2025 in Chicago and more. Every Sunday morning, the Temple Beth El Men’s Club (West Palm Beach) sponsors breakfast at 10am after minyan; join them for a heaping helping of bagels and brotherhood. Men’s Club also hosts a monthly meeting and mini-dinner program an the 3rd Wednesday of each month; the next meeting is March 19 (future meetings April 16 and May 21, 2025). On Monday March 10, Men’s Club members will meet in Temple Beth Sholom’s Sainer Social Hall for packing and mailing of Yom HaShoah Yellow candles. Each year, the FJMC Shoah Yellow Candle™ Program distributes tens of thousands Yellow Candles™ to Men’s Clubs, Brotherhoods and houses of worship to help remember the Holocaust. Men’s Clubs and other organizations around the world order Yellow Candles™ from the FJMC and distribute them to their membership with a short explanation of the program. On the night of Yom HaShoah, the candles are lit in homes across the globe to shine a light of memory, a light of education, and a light that we will never forget. By participating in this program, you are helping to keep the memory of the Shoah alive and to remember what could happen if we don’t stand up for ourselves. The FJMC Sefer Haftarah World Tour is scheduled to visit Congregation B’nai Torah (Ormond Beach) during the week March 19 through March 26, 2025 and will be incorporated into their combined Men’s Club / Sisterhood Shabbat weekend, Friday night March 21 and Shabbat morning March 22. The Sefer Haftorah scroll will be on display for all to see when it is not in use and our Men’s Club President will be reading part of the Haftorah on Shabbat morning directly from the FJMC Sefer Haftorah scroll. This is your opportunity to get up close and personal with the FJMC Sefer Haftarah; be there.
On Wednesday March 5, 2025 at 6pm, the Temple Beth Torah Brotherhood (Wellington) will proudly present the 2025 No-Limit Texas Hold’em Charity Poker Tournament. Brotherhood members are encouraged to partake in a fun night out at World of Beer, 11121 Southern Blvd., Royal Palm Beach, and help us raise money for the kids and feel free to invite friends and family as well! It’s $50 in advance, $65 at the door, with $25 re-buy options during the tourney. Proceeds will benefit the Temple Beth Torah Brotherhood Student Scholarship Fund.
