The inaugural session of the Pride and Prejudice Affinity Group will take place on Wednesday February 13, 2023 at 8pm Eastern time.

The Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs recently formed the Pride and Prejudice Affinity Group as a quarterly Inclusion Initiative dialogue. The purpose of the Pride and Prejudice Affinity Group is to give your Men’s Club or Brotherhood an opportunity to be more inclusive as you develop and provide programs, services and support to your own club and synagogue. These one-hour sessions will include specific suggestions from the FJMC Inclusion Resource Guidebook; a panel presentation including clergy, club/synagogue leaders and marginalized community members; and an opportunity for Q&A and comments from attendees.

Why? We are always saying we’d like more and younger members. We are always saying we’d like more of our members to be engaged in our programming and leadership. We believe we are open-minded and welcoming, however we also know there’s room for improvement – lots of room. If you have pride in some welcoming inclusive initiatives at your Men’s Club, Brotherhood and / or synagogue then please, let us know. We’d be happy to add you or someone representing your initiatives to our panel for one of our future sessions. Email Jerry Brodsky at jerrybrodsky2@gmail.com with panel recommendations or questions/comments.

Elliott Burns, President of B’nai Torah Men’s Club of Boca Raton, Florida

The inaugural session of the Pride and Prejudice Affinity Group will take place on Wednesday February 13, 2023 at 8pm Eastern time.
