Our hearts are breaking as Israel fights to defend itself from acts of terrorism by Hamas. The Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs stands with Israel and the IDF as they protect their citizens from these heinous acts. We keep Israel’s soldiers and their families in our thoughts. We pray for a return of those taken captive, care for those traumatized, and an end to this violence. #StandWithIsrael

Dear Colleagues and Friends in Israel:
We write to provide comfort and strength in this dire moment in the history of the State of Israel and Am Yisrael. We send love and support to our rabbinic colleagues and to the leaders and members of our kehillot. You are in our hearts and in our prayers.
We are holding the memories of so many who were murdered on Shemini Atzeret. We are holding their families in our hearts. We are praying for healing for the thousands who are injured, and for wisdom and strength for those who are caring for them. We stand in solidarity with those who have been kidnapped and their families, and pray for their redemption. And we offer courage and strength for all who are in shelters seeking safety. And our prayers are with the brave defenders in the IDF, Israel’s security forces, and first responders.
We echo the voice of President Biden and other world leaders when we say we are standing with you. The State of Israel and its citizens are not alone. You are not alone. We are עם אחד עם לב אחד. We are with you today, and in the days to come, with love, concern, compassion, and care.
As we read this morning in Kohelet, “עת מלחמה ועת שלום.” We pray that we will be delivered from this time of war, and enter a time of peace. Meanwhile, we are with you.
