Jason Waksman: Presidential Appointee to the Florida Region FJMC Board of Trustees

The State of Florida has one of the fastest growing Jewish communities in the country. According to a recent University of Florida Census Study, Florida has seen an influx of over 2.7 million new residents over the last decade and many of them are Jewish.

The Florida Region of the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs (FJMC) is also growing; in the past year we affiliated several additional Men’s Clubs and Brotherhoods. In June of 2023, the Florida Region of FJMC also expanded its Executive Board in order to better serve our network of affiliated clubs, electing Regional President (Ed Kochman), an Executive Vice President (Jon Zimmer) and appointing several new “Regional Advisors” and “members at large” to the Board.

Today we shine a spotlight on Florida Region FJMC Regional Presidential Appointee Jason Waksman.

Jason Waksman

Jason was appointed to the Florida Region FJMC Board in recognition of his extensive prior service to the Middle Atlantic Region of the FJMC. Jason and his wife recently relocated to Palm Beach County from the Philadelphia area, where Jason served on the Executive Board of the Middle Atlantic Region of the FJMC for over ten years where he held the roles of Treasurer and Vice President throughout his tenure. He led events including co-chairing Man of the Year dinners, local Leadership Development Institute (LDI) training and was a focal leader for the biennial International Convention held in Philadelphia in 2023. In addition, Jason served on the joint “FJMC Middle Atlantic Region – Camp Ramah in the Poconos” annual bike ride fundraising committee. As a former Men’s Club President, Jason led the Yom Hashoah Candle Project at his local club along with coordinating FJMC Hearing Men’s Voices programs. Jason is also the CFO/COO of a mortgage lending and real estate investment firm in South Florida and a partner in a group that owns five Museum of Illusions venues in the U.S. Jason Waksman is a proud member of the Temple Torat Emet Men’s Club of Boynton Beach and an invaluable resource to your Florida Region FJMC affiliated Men’s Club or Brotherhood; he can be reached at JasonWaksman@gmail.com. Yasher Koach Jason and welcome to Florida.
