I just returned to Florida from the Quad Region Retreat at Camp Zeke in the Poconos where nearly 50 men from the NNJR, Middle Atlantic, NY Metro, and Hudson Valley regions of the FJMC gathered together in brotherhood and ruach.
It was a great time to daven, eat, drink, and schmooze with old friends and new alike.
The many highlights included participatory services, passionate davening, singing loud, proud in spontaneous multi-part harmony, exploring the bucolic grounds of Camp Zeke and just hanging out with the guys, talking, connecting, bonding, eating, drinking and learning, together. FJMC also introduced a new Club training module on Diversity and Inclusion.
Business meetings on Zoom are nice, but nothing can replace face to face interaction with my friends, family and Men’s Club Brothers. The hugs, the laughs, the tears; I missed those guys.
