Congregation Shaarei Kodesh (CSK), “the Gates of Holiness”, is a holy community, a kehillah kedoshah in the heart of Boca Raton, Florida. CSK is an inclusive and egalitarian community, offering a wide range of religious, educational and social activities for all ages. They are affiliated with the Conservative/Masorti movement and the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism.
The CSK Men’s Club had it’s inaugural season in the Spring of 2022 as a social group that was created to promote friendship, create camaraderie and ruach, provide social and educational activities and enhance Jewish observances at the synagogue.
Under the leadership of founding Men’s Club President Mauricio Arenzon (middle), the CSK Men’s Club organized many well attended events, starting with a breakfast program featuring guest speaker Dr. Bernd Wollschlaeger (Left), the Jewish son of a Nazi officer. Other programs and events of note include CSK Day for Dolphins vs Vikings at Hard Rock Stadium and a Whiskey Tasting, participation in the annual Chanukah Party and CSK BBQ. The CSK Men’s Club also sponsored the Tu B’shvat Seder, organized Worldwide Wrap Tefillin Day, a joint Yom HaShoah program with the Kol Isha Sisterhood and a Lag B’Omer picnic. CSK Men’s Club entered the 2023/2024 season with Harvey Stoler (Right) as its second Men’s Club President.
Looking ahead, on Sunday February 4, 2024 the CSK Men’s Club will be sponsoring the annual CSK BBQ Children’s Games, followed on Superbowl Sunday February 11 with FJMC World Wide Wrap. On Sunday March 17, 2024 the CSK Men’s Club will host a special program featuring a speaker from the Miami Israeli Consulate, followed by a Men’s Club dinner meet up on April 4 (details TBA).
