The B'nai Torah Men's Club promotes fellowship and camaraderie among the men of B'nai Torah

There are over a hundred Synagogues, JCC’s, Chavurot, Jewish Men’s Clubs and Brotherhoods in the State of Florida and many of them have the same name. Today we will bring the boom and take you on a journey to Palm Beach County, Florida to shine a spotlight on the Congregation B’nai Torah (CBT) Men’s Club of Boca Raton.

The B’nai Torah Congregation of is the largest conservative synagogue in Southeast Florida with over 1,000 membership families; a close-knit, multi-generational, modern, egalitarian synagogue with diverse services, programs of worship, learning, tzedakah, meaningful social action and diverse social activities. B’nai Torah also offers a wide variety of volunteer opportunities and is a vibrant center for tzedakah acts and projects that touch thousands of people. Join B’nai Torah and get involved.

The B’nai Torah Men’s Club promotes fellowship and camaraderie among the men of B’nai Torah through sponsorship many social and volunteer activities; some events are planned for men only, others are for men with wives, significant others or an invited guest.

During January 2024 the B’nai Torah Men’s Club hosted the first installment of its long-running, award winning “Bagel Bites” breakfast speaker series of the new year featuring Dr. Bryan Wasserman on the topic, “Bubbamycin: Jewish Medicine”. B’nai Torah Men’s Club activities during February began with a “Golf and Networking” event at the “Drive Shack” in West Palm Beach, followed by the International FJMC World Wide Wrap and 5784 Men’s Club Men’s Club Shabbat weekend.

On March 17, 2024 at 10am, the B’nai Torah Men’s Club will host a special edition of it’s Bagel Bites Speaker Series featuring Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Wendy Sartory Link. B’nai Torah Men’s Club President Elliot Burns reports, “It is wonderful that she is coming to our Club as on the next Tuesday, March 19 is a Florida Presidential Primary Election. This will be a very timely discussion at which we all will enjoy! Please RSVP asap so I can buy the correct amount of Bagel and cream cheese. If anyone would like to sponsor the purchase of the bagel and cream cheese, we would very much appreciate the donation. Please contact me at bocaburns@aol.com to RSVP to attend the Bagel Bites or to donate the bagels and cream cheese. Our Club appreciates your support.

Looking ahead, the B’nai Torah Men’s Club will distribute Shoah Yellow Candles in advance of the observance of Yom HaShoah 5784, which begins at sundown on Sunday evening May 5, 2024. Club President Elliot Burns requests, “We will need a team to help pack and distribute the candles to our congregants at shul after Shabbat Services or on other occasions. Please volunteer to be part of the team, I will help you with the process. We need a chair and a team of a few men to distribute the candles. The proceeds of this project (after expenses) will fund scholarships for our MRS Religious School youth to go on the “March of the Living” trip to Poland and then to Israel.”
