The Temple Beth Am Men’s Club (Margate) offers an opportunity to establish life-long friendships and offer a broad range of programming and activities including Trivia Night, Karaoke. Sporting Event Trips (Marlins, Panthers, Dolphins), Bowling, Sunday Speaker Series and much more. The Men’s Club also helps support the Temple through various fundraising activities including running Monday night Bingo and seasonal raffles. In the most recent issue of The Scribe, Temple Beth Am’s quarterly synagogue newsletter, Men’s Club President Larry Schwartz posted, “Can you believe winter is here? Where are the snow and the frozen ponds on which we can go ice skating? Well, maybe next year!!!! Anyhoo, it’s time once again for the Men’s Club quarterly Scribe article. Men’s Club Bingo is back up and running each Monday night!! If you haven’t played, give it a try. We are always looking for volunteers to help during the presale and during the games. If you have ever called bingo or want to learn, we’d love to have you. I’m sure Sisterhood Bingo would love to have you as well.”

Register for our Beth Am Escape Room Adventure at https://www.beth-am.org/event/escape-room-2025. Please arrive by 7:45pm and be prepared for a night of fun.

The Temple Beth Am Men’s Club is introducing “Men of the Round Table“, a place for men to gather for 90 minutes to share ideas, thoughts, concerns, happy occasions, sad ones, health issues or any other topic on your minds. This has been a very successful program at other synagogues, and we believe it will be a meaningful experience for the men of Beth Am as well. The inaugural session of “Men of the Round Table” will take place on Wednesday, April 9th at 9:00am at Temple Beth Am in the small Chapel and will conclude at about 10:30 a.m. We intend to meet once a month on the 2nd Wednesday, except for July and August and Jewish holidays (and heavy snow days). Contributions towards the cost of coffee and donuts will be welcome. Reserve your seat at the Beth Am Round Table at: https://www.beth-am.org/event/round-table. For more information email Beth Am Men’s Club Secretary Mel Chilewich at: chil56@comcast.net.

As time marches forward, it is our task to remember and teach about the Shoah. Each year, the Temple Beth Am Men’s Club distributes FJMC Shoah Yellow Candles™ to our Beth Am family members. On the night of Yom HaShoah, the candles are lit to shine a light of memory, a light of education, and a light that we will never forget. By participating in this program, you are helping to keep the memory of the Shoah alive and to remember what could happen if we don’t stand up for ourselves. Yom HaShoah begins at sundown Wednesday April 23, 2025 / 27 Nisan 5785. Please join us in a moment of solidarity for our six million brothers and sisters that were lost in the Shoah.

Looking ahead, save the dates: Thursday July 3 to Sunday July 6, 2025 to be part of the Temple Beth Am Men’s Club / Florida Region FJMC delegation to attend the 2025 FJMC International Biennial Convention in Chicago !!
