The Florida Region of the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs warmly welcomes the Temple Beth Sholom Men's Club to the FJMC family of affiliated Men's Clubs and Brotherhoods.
  • Breaking News: The Florida Region of FJMC is proud to announce that the Temple Beth Sholom Men’s Club of Melbourne, Florida has joined the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs.

The Temple Beth Sholom Men’s Club is focused on promoting Judaism and family activities in today’s busy, hectic, competitive world, performing service activities for TBS and the community at large, educating our youth and ourselves about our holidays, rituals, faith and having fun. As they look ahead to 2025 and beyond, the Temple Beth Sholom Men’s Club is eager to build on the hard work of past leaders and members.

Club President David Scholl explains, “the TBS Men’s Club will co-sponsor certain activities with the Sisterhood and continue the successful programs of past years.  We’d love to get more men from all age groups involved. Most of us are very busy with other important obligations, so we need compelling, fun programs to draw in and motivate a strong base of men. It all begins with energy and involvement from our members.   We are putting together the calendar of programs and events for the upcoming year and need your ideas and support to be successful. Please share your ideas at mensclub@mytbs.org or discuss them with members of the Leadership Board.”

Recently, the men of the TBS Men’s Club were grilling and chilling at Flip-Flop Shabbat; many thanks to the Men’s Club ‘grilling team’ (Paul N., Ron G., David B., Bill T., Loren G.) who did a fantastic job – everything went very smoothly (see picture).

Looking ahead, on Sunday April 27, 2025 the Temple Beth Sholom Men’s Club is planning an outstanding day of member engagement, beginning at 10am (sharp) with a guided walking tour of the Turkey Creek Sanctuary (in Palm Bay), a refuge for native Florida plants like sand pines, scrub and turkey oaks, cactus, wire grass, scrub paw paw, large flower rosemary and more. In addition to the plant life, the Turkey Creek Sanctuary is also home to many species of native Florida wildlife, such as manatees, alligators, gopher tortoises, and bobcats. The fun continues at 1pm for an afternoon of “Jews and Brews” at the Intracoastal Brewery (652 W Eau Gallie Blvd in Melbourne), a microbrewery focused on bringing an ever-rotating cycle of quality beers to Brevard Count. Two free drink coupons are included for all Men’s Club members. Please RSVP to mensclub@mytbs.org.
