Shalom brothers,
On behalf of the Florida region of FJMC, we are grateful for what appears to be the impending return of the 20 living hostages in Israel, who have been prisoners of Hamas for two years. With G-d’s help, reservists from the IDF can return to their families, and civilians can gain comfort from not being caught in the crosshairs.
We would like to express our gratitude to President Trump for his commitment to prioritizing getting the hostages to return to their families, as well as to Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio for their roles. Thank you to Prime Minister Netanyahu for putting the Jewish ideal of pikuah nefesh, the preservation of life into action. Thank you to the countries of Turkey, Qatar and Egypt for playing a role in pressuring Hamas to the negotiating table.
On a personal note, I have a second cousin once removed that is one of the hostages. I’ve never met him, but I hope to someday in the near future.
We hope for a future where Jews, Muslims, Christians and everyone who calls the land home can live side by side in peace and security, free from violence and fear. May that day come soon!
