In this four-part series, Florida Region FJMC invites you to take a seat at the table, expand your palate and try something new with the “TXOKO Culinary Club”, an original program from the Brotherhood of Kol Ami in Tampa, Florida.
The “TXOKO Culinary Club” is a hands-on, participatory group gastronomic experience with a focus on learning about, preparing and enjoying a delicious and authentic communal meal of home-made, ethnic “Jewish food” from different countries and cultures from around the world.
The fourth episode of the “TXOKO Culinary Club” focused on the Jewish Cuisine of France.
“Our season finale takes us to the land of haute cuisine, world renown wines, and one of the largest Jewish Diasporas in Europe”, said Kol Ami Brotherhood President Jon Zimmer. “We served up Beef Bourguignon, Scalloped Potatoes, Ratatouille, Baked Chicken with Apples and Cinnamon from Alsace, and Poached Pears in Red Wine. And of course, we also had baguettes and a mulled wine from Bordeaux wines! Oui Oui, C’est Si Bon!”
