Mental health matters—to our families, our synagogues, our communities, and ourselves.
That’s why the Florida Region FJMC International is showing up for NAMIWalks. We’re walking to raise awareness, break the stigma, and support life-saving mental health programs. As Jewish men and allies, we believe in stepping up—not stepping back—when it comes to caring for those who are struggling, whether seen or unseen.
Some of us walk to support loved ones. Others walk because we’ve faced our own challenges. But no one walks alone. When we walk together—as brothers, friends, and advocates—we send a message:
You matter. You are not alone. There is hope.
We’d be honored to have you walk with us at the 2025 Palm Beach County NamiWalks on on November 1, 2025. The opening ceremony will take place at 8:15am at John Prince Park Eric Call Pavilion, 4759 South Congress Avenue in Lake Worth, Florida. There will be three event routes with 1 mile, 2 mile and 5k options available. The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) provides support, education and advocacy from a “live experience” perspective; they exist to ensure that no one is alone in his or her struggles with mental illness. NAMI provides resource information and practical next steps for anyone who is impacted by their own mental illness or that of a loved one. NAMI support and education programs are available for family members and other loved ones, as well as recovery support and education for those individuals living with a mental health condition, including how to find a local NAMI chapter in the United States.
