Shalom brothers,
With Rosh Hashana 2025 (5786) approaching, it’s time to take account of ourselves as individuals and take stock of what it means to be Jewish, especially in the diaspora. It hasn’t been an easy year at times: We’ve watched the war in Israel drag on, with our brothers and sisters still being held hostage by Hamas (including my second cousin once removed, Alon Ohel). We’ve watched Jews and righteous Gentiles be murdered by anti-Semites and hateful bigots alike in DC and in Utah.
But I don’t want this to be a message of doom and gloom. We as Jews, and as members of FJMC, are here for the Jewish community, and here as brothers for our fellow members. Continuing our mission of doing mitzvot, of coming together as a community through our programs of Yellow Candle Program, World Wide Wrap, and the other great programs done through FJMC and our individual clubs shares the light and hope of Judaism and spreads our mission to the world.
I want to wish all of you a L’Shana Tovah and a sweet, happy, healthy New Year. Let’s commit ourselves to using our free will and blessings from Hashem to make our community, family and ourselves the best we can be and the best we can represent Torah and Judaism in this new year.
With friendship,
