Now that spring is in the air and our respective synagogues begin to reopen their doors to live services and events, this is the perfect time for your Men’s Club or Brotherhood to host a Back to Shul BBQ.  What could be a better way for you to mobilize your current and prospective members than a Men’s Club or Brotherhood Tailgate Party in your Synagogue parking lot?

The concept is simple; fire up some Burgers and Hot Dogs, flip a Frisbee and have some cold brews on hand as your Men’s Club and Brotherhood members happily gather to eat, drink and look at each other’s smiling faces. We are social creatures and there is nothing more social than a BBQ.

The Men’s Club of Temple Beth Am in Margate is a firm believer in the Back to Shul BBQ and has hosted many well attended gatherings over the years. Club President Larry Schwartz says, “it’s a great way to bring out the guys; everybody loves a BBQ”.

Here in Florida we are blessed with fresh air and sunshine almost year round. Hosting a Back to Shul BBQ could be the perfect way to bring out your Men’s Club and Brotherhood members for a fun day of friendship and frivolity, while finding fresh faces in the form of newer, younger, more active members.

This message is brought to you by the Florida Region of FJMC.
