On Sunday May 22 the COS Men’s Club will host a MentalMania Program to benefit Ukraine. Mark Stone, a longstanding member of Congregation Ohev Shalom Men’s Club and a professional mentalist, has offered his services of his comedy mind reading and ESP show “MENTALMANIA” to support the HUMANITARIAN effort for the people of Ukraine. Mark will not accept a fee to do his show and requested that all the proceeds from admission and donations received from those attending the show to be donated to helping the people of Ukraine. The Men’s Club and Sisterhood will cover all expenses related to the program.
Mark and his wife Susie have been members of COS since 1984. He served as Secretary on the executive board from 1989-1991 and President of the synagogue from 1991-1993. He also served as President of the Men’s Club from 1987 to 1991. He is most proud of having volunteered to organize and run 3 blood drives a year since 1999, except for 2020, due to COVID 19. Mark’s decision to step forward with his suggestion to do the event is based on the idea that many people have already helped the people of Ukraine, but a lot more help is needed.Doors open at 1:15 pm and light refreshments will be served – Sunday May 22 at Congregation Ohev Shalom, 613 Concourse Parkway South, Maitland, FL 32751.
