Jeffrey Imber is the Co-President of both the Southwest Orlando Jewish Congregation and the SOJC Men’s Club. He has been an active member of SOJC since 2009, volunteering with the Men’s Club and being on the Executive Board.  “My goals for SOJC”, said Jeff, “are to rejuvenate our congregation post-Covid with a new Rabbi who is excited to be a part of our community, keep our youth engaged and provide opportunities for us all to celebrate Judaism”.

SOJC currently consists of 150-160 family units and has very large and active Hebrew school with 65-70 kids. The SOJC Men’s Club is all about fun and action. Some past programs and activities include Grand Prix and Laser Tag at Pointe Orlando, Co-Ed Volleyball, Skeet Shooting, a night at Player-One Video Game Bar, a Poker Night, a trip to a local brewery, World Wide Wrap, Men’s Club Shabbat, Yellow Candles and post Pesach Pizza dinner. SOJC Men’s Club communicates with members via a constant contact email distribution list as well as a secondary email from Jeff Imber, and Evite is used to keep track of RSVPs.

On Wednesday May 11 at 7pm, the SOJC Men’s Club will be honored to host IDF Soldier Lt. Col. Yaron Buskin as part of SOJC’s Yom Ha’atzmaut Celebration of Israel, LIVE in the SOJC Social Hall. This event is open to the public.  Delicious refreshments, deserts and spirits will be served, Sponsorship Opportunities are available.
