Temple Beth David Men's Club activities aim to bring members together to enjoy each other's company, participate in fun, interesting and charitable activities, and most importantly, build connections with each other to strengthen our Temple Beth David community.

The Phoenix is a mythical golden bird that is associated with renewal and regeneration; a symbol of hope and rebirth after total destruction, of life and of better things to come, born from the knowledge and experience of difficult times and challenging circumstances. This is the story of the Temple Beth David Men’s Club of Palm Beach Gardens, a once dynamic organization that burned bright, burned out and went dormant. However, like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, the Temple Beth David Men’s Club has come back to life.

The new and improved Temple Beth David Men’s Club inaugural event was a kick-off BBQ on the Temple Beth David patio. Beth David Men’s Club President Mark Paul reports; “The event was a huge success. About 30 members and guests enjoyed delicious barbecued hamburgers, hot dogs, and veggie burgers, all cooked to perfection by Craig Kessler. The sides and drinks were plentiful, and the apple pie for dessert was delicious. We caught up with old friends, made new ones, and engaged in lively conversation. During dinner, member and author Bruce Bronstein shared one of his many interesting stories from when he was with the IRS handling tax appeals.

On December 13, the Beth David Men’s Club hosted “Latkes and Libations” featuring delicious crispy potato pancakes, traditional toppings of sour cream and apple sauce, a choice of libations, refreshing drinks and an engaging guest speaker. “The event started with lighting the Chanukah candles, followed by the latke buffet. The atmosphere was festive and friendly, as the men mingled, chatted and made connections. The highlight of the evening was the presentation by Brian Seymour, Temple Beth David member and Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County’s Israel and Overseas Chair. Brian spoke about his recent solidarity trip to Israel and engaged in a lively discussion with the group.

Looking ahead, on Sunday February 11, 2024 the Temple Beth David Men’s Club will be hosting a Super Bowl Watch Party; Kosher deli sandwiches, snacks and drinks will be provided. This event is only open to Temple Beth David Men’s club members and significant others as space is limited.
