In the Tom Clancey novel “Debt of Honor”, the author penned the famous words, “If you don’t write it down… then it never happened.

Over the past year, Florida Region FJMC published four detailed Webmaster Reports, the most recent covering the first two months of 2024 (http://floridaregionfjmc.org/2024/03/webmaster-report-2024-the-first-60-days/). These detailed reports form part of a data matrix for the current and future leadership of Florida Region FJMC so that we can easily to look back at what we’ve done and ask ourselves, “how can we do it better”? Part of doing it better is understanding who visits our website, how they access the website and what content catches their attention.

In order to gain a better understand website traffic on Florida Region FJMC we utilize “Google Analytics“, a free web analytics service that provides statistics and tools for search engine optimization (SEO) and marketing. Google Analytics can track website activity such as session duration, pages per session, bounce rate, source of traffic, how much traffic a website is getting, where that traffic is coming from and more. Google Analytics can also help measure advertising ROI and track Flash, video, and social networking sites and applications. The following is a brief summary report of Google Analytics data for the month of February 2024 for www.FloridaRegionFJMC.org:

During February of 2024, the Florida Region FJMC website received a whopping 18,100 “impressions“, 231 “clicks” and 48 pages with “First Impressions“. According to Google, “impressions” are a metric that measures how often a user sees a link to a site or content in search results or on other sites; Impressions are a measure of visibility and reach, not direct interaction or engagement. “Clicks” are the total number of times that users “clicked” on a link to reach the website. “Pages with first impressions” refers to pages that a user has seen in search results for the first time in the previous month.

During February of 2024, the Florida Region FJMC website was most frequently viewed on mobile devices (136 unique sessions), compared to users that accessed the website on a desktop computer (93 unique sessions) or tablet (2 unique sessions).
