- A summary of published posts to www.FloridaRegionFJMC.org from January 1 through February 29, 2024

The past two years have been a bittersweet journey of discovery and growth for the Florida Region of the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs (FJMC), filled with happiness and tears. With great sadness we acknowledged the passing of Florida Region FJMC Vice President Barry Dvorchik, Aaron Henach Ben Dov Bear z”l; may Barry’s memory be a blessing and inspiration to all that knew him. Also, with great joy, Florida Region FJMC (affectionately known as the Orange Jews) organized two half-day Club Leadership training sessions (in Maitland and Boca Raton), a weekend Men’s Club Ruach Retreat (North Palm Beach) and sent an expanded delegation to represent the Sunshine State at FJMC Convention in Philadelphia. Behind the scenes, Florida Region FJMC engaged the services of new Webmaster and launched an updated, redesigned website (utilizing a WordPress “Chrome News” theme) and expanded its content library to focus on the activities of FJMC affiliated Men’s Clubs and Brotherhoods. The Region elected a new / expanded Executive Board led by Ed Kochman (the first man to serve as President of two different Regions of FJMC) and added several new Presidential Appointees. Florida Region FJMC leadership also engaged in systematic outreach to Men’s Clubs and Brotherhoods throughout Florida, strengthening bonds with our existing network of clubs and affiliating several new Men’s Clubs and Brotherhoods in the process.

Florida Region FJMC website www.FloridaRegionFJMC.org began the year 2024 with content category and menu optimization as well as a reorganized front page with dedicated areas to display posts related to Florida Region Club Events and Activities, upcoming FJMC Affinity Groups and Webinars, Jewish Learning, FJMC Initiatives and Israel Advocacy.
