The Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs (FJMC) is comprised of over 200 affiliated Jewish Men’s Clubs and Brotherhoods concentrated throughout North America, Canada, Latin America, Africa and Israel. Each Club ranges in size from a small Chavurah (חבורה Hebrew: “fellowship”, plural chavurot) to over 700 members. The FJMC is divided into 14 geographic Regions which directly serve the needs of affiliated Jewish Men’s Clubs and Brotherhoods. Every Region assists to facilitate, sponsor and develop area-wide activities to enhance the role of Men’s Clubs and Brotherhoods in their congregations, as well as to address the regional and global needs of our Jewish Community. Working together we can collectively develop programs that one club alone would not be able to manage.
Each of our Men’s Clubs and Brotherhoods are both independent and interconnected. Each establish their own priorities, set up their own program schedules and maintain their own treasuries. Some Clubs focus on recreational activities and others on community involvement or Israel Activism, all while simultaneously involving Jewish Men in Jewish Life and enhancing overall Jewish observance within their congregations. What all of our Men’s Clubs and Brotherhoods have in common is solidarity with other Jewish Men’s Clubs and Brotherhoods, as well as the ability to draw on a vast database of outstanding programs and the expertise of the FJMC and its global network Regional Consultants.
At its most recent 2021 Biennial Convention, the FJMC expanded membership to welcome ALL Jewish Men’s Clubs and Brotherhoods, whether affiliated with the Reform, Reconstructionist or Orthodox movements, or unaffiliated with any particular Jewish movement.
The Florida Region of FJMC welcomes ALL currently unaffiliated Jewish Men’s Clubs and Brotherhoods in the State of Florida to join our expanding network as we work toward our common goal, to involve Jewish Men in Jewish Life. We have a statewide network of Regional Consultants available that can assist your Men’s Club or Brotherhood to grow, live long and prosper. We serve the needs of Jewish Men’s Clubs and Brotherhoods across the State of Florida from the Panhandle to Miami.
