The Temple Beth Torah Sha’aray Tzedek’s (TBTST) Men’s Club welcomes men of all ages to share their many talents. They are an active part of the synagogue providing camaraderie, activities, events, and fellowship for men of all ages. The goal of the TBTST Men’s Club is to increase the connections both spiritual and social between the men in the TBTST family, as well as to create an atmosphere that encourages the interactions between the TBTST men and their children.

“Looking back this past year your TBTST Men’s Club had a very busy year”, said Men’s Club President Larry Gerson. “The Men’s Club would like to thank everyone who supported our events in January and February. In January we had our Bowling event at Strikers Sports Center. A great time was had by all that participated and we raised some needed money for our youth groups as well. In February, along with help from Rabbi Daniela and Rabbi Rami, the Minyanaires and the Youth of our Synagogue, we participated in the FJMC World Wide Wrap. Rabbi Rami explained the meaning of Tefillin and taught those who participated how to wrap the Tefillin and how to wear the headpiece. Afterwards the Men’s Club prepared over 80 pancakes for breakfast. Thanks to all that helped make this a great event. Upcoming events, March 17th we have the TBTST Purim Carnival, other upcoming events for the Men’s Club will be our “Monster Golf” event at Monster Mini Golf on University Drive, March 21 at 7:00 pm.

Each year the TBTST Men’s Club also sends Yom HaShoah candles to every member of the congregation; the proceeds of this project help sponsor scholarships for Temple youth in order to develop the future leaders of Temple Beth Torah Sha’aray Tzedek. Men’s Club meets every third Thursday in the Synagogue. Every Men’s Club member is invited to attend.”

With Shavuot in the rear view mirror and 5785 just around the corner, the Temple Beth Torah Sha’aray Tzedek Men’s Club will be planning a full year of enriching experiences, social nights of fun, food and friendship. Stay tuned for more information.
